How Many Roof Tiles Fit in a 40HQ Container? Loading & Cost Guide
Freight is a big part of landed roof cost. Knowing exactly what fits in a 40HQ container lets you plan orders, mix profiles and cut cost per square meter.
How Much Fits in a 40HQ
A 40HQ container holds roughly 500 m² of stone coated metal roof tiles including ridge caps and accessories, depending on profile and packing. Because the tiles are lightweight, you reach volume capacity before hitting the weight limit.
Mixing Profiles & Colors
You can consolidate several profiles and colors in one container — useful for distributors stocking a range or projects needing main tiles plus trims. We plan the load so fast-moving colors and accessories arrive in the right ratio.
Cutting Freight Cost per m²
Full-container (FCL) loads give the lowest freight cost per square meter. Nesting tiles, flat-packing accessories and matching order size to a full 40HQ all reduce landed cost. For smaller trials we can advise on LCL or mixed loads.
