Roofing for Salt Air & Humidity

Seaside villas, island resorts and coastal estates face the harshest roofing environment on earth: constant salt spray, wind-driven rain and year-round humidity that rusts ordinary steel and warps organic materials. Our coastal system pairs an aluminium-zinc (Galvalume) core with a sealed stone-chip or PVDF surface, so the roof shrugs off salt corrosion and stays color-stable for decades.

The Coastal Challenge

Why standard roofs fail near the ocean

Within a few kilometres of the coast, airborne salt settles on every surface and accelerates corrosion. Bare or lightly galvanized steel begins to rust at cut edges and fixings within a season; clay and concrete tiles absorb moisture, grow algae and add crushing weight; asphalt shingles lift and tear under onshore gusts. The result is early failure, constant maintenance and unhappy end-customers.

Our coastal roofing answers each of those failure modes. The Galvalume substrate carries an aluminium-zinc alloy coating that self-heals at scratches and resists salt corrosion far longer than plain galvanized steel. On stone-coated tiles, a fired basalt-granule surface locks out UV and moisture; on metal sheet and resin systems, a PVDF or ASA cap layer does the same. Every panel interlocks and is fixed with matched stainless or coated fasteners, so wind-driven rain has no way in.

Salt-corrosion resistant

Aluminium-zinc Galvalume plus a sealed surface withstands continuous salt spray — validated against ASTM B117 salt-fog references.

Wind & storm rated

Interlocking tiles and concealed fixings resist onshore gusts and hurricane-zone uplift without lifting or peeling.

UV colour-lock

Fired stone granules and PVDF caps hold their colour under relentless coastal sun — no fading, no repainting.

Light on the structure

At roughly 6 kg/m², the roof suits timber and light-steel coastal framing and speeds installation on remote island sites.
