Wholesale Roof Tiles Procurement Checklist
Use this checklist before placing a wholesale roofing order from China so nothing is missed between quotation and delivery.
Specify the product correctly
Confirm base material and coating (Galvalume AZ150 for stone-coated metal, ASA-PVC for resin), tile profile, thickness, colour code and warranty in writing. Request samples and matching test reports.
Quantify the full order
Calculate roof area plus 8-12% waste, then add ridge, valley, end-caps, screws/nails and sealant. One 20ft container is ~1,000 m² with accessories — confirm the accessory ratio so the roof is complete on arrival.
Lock terms and logistics
Agree Incoterm (FOB/CIF/CFR), payment (e.g. 30% deposit, balance vs B/L), lead time (15-25 days), destination port and certification needs. Send the checklist back to us for a formal quotation.

For a distributor, the checklist should be used as an internal order sheet. Sales staff can collect the same fields from each contractor and reduce back-and-forth communication. For a project buyer, the checklist helps confirm whether the quotation includes the complete roof system or only the visible tile sheets. In most markets, missing accessories cause more delays than the tile itself.
For first cooperation, do not skip sample confirmation. A small sample board helps the buyer compare colour under local sunlight, check stone-chip texture or ASA surface gloss, and show the product to contractors before the container leaves China. If the target is a long-term wholesale channel, also request catalogue images and consistent product naming so local sales materials match the shipped goods.
Information to send for a serious quotation
A useful inquiry should include the target tile type, roof area or container quantity, preferred colour, destination port, project city, delivery deadline and whether the order is for retail distribution or one confirmed project. If drawings are available, send roof slope, ridge length, hip and valley length, and required accessories. With those details we can estimate tile quantity, accessory ratio, packing volume and a realistic FOB or CIF price instead of giving a rough unit price that may not match the final roof.
