Wood Grain Stone Coated Metal Roof Tile
A rugged cedar-shake wood texture in lightweight, fireproof steel - the look of timber without the rot.
Wood Grain Stone Coated Metal Roof Tile
The Wood Grain (Shake) profile carries a natural, warm timber texture pressed into the steel, reproducing the rugged shadow lines of a hand-split cedar shake. It gives the character of a wood roof with none of the rot, warping or fire risk.
Key Features
- AZ150 Galvalume steel base — 3x longer corrosion resistance than standard galvanized
- Natural basalt stone-granule coating — 50-year non-fade UV stability
- Lightweight 6 kg/sqm — about 1/6 the weight of clay tile
- Easy screw fixing — saves around 40% labor cost
Specifications
Construction, Galvalume Base & Lifespan
Galvalume steel base (ASTM A792, 55% Al-Zn) -> epoxy/acrylic primer (both sides) -> acrylic bonding base coat -> natural basalt stone granules (ceramic-coated, kiln-fired color) -> clear acrylic overglaze. Produced on a continuous line: uncoil -> level -> roll-form -> base coat -> stone coating -> curing oven -> overglaze -> cut -> stack.
| AZ50 | ~150 g/m sq - inland / dry climate, budget |
|---|---|
| AZ100 | ~300 g/m sq - standard climate |
| AZ150 | ~450 g/m sq - humid / coastal / tropical (recommended for Nigeria, SE Asia) |
| AZ200 | ~600 g/m sq - strong-corrosion coastal / islands |
Available in 0.2–1.0 mm steel thickness. Thicker steel improves wind and impact resistance and longevity; 0.4–0.5 mm suits most housing, 0.6 mm and up for villas and engineered roofs. Always measure bare steel thickness excluding the stone layer.
Colors & Stone Granule Coating
brick red, terracotta, charcoal black, coffee, brown, gray, dark green, emerald green, blue, sand/light gray, white and orange, plus custom color matching. Premium aged looks blend three granule colors. Color is locked into kiln-fired mineral granules, not surface paint, so it does not fade under UV.
Best-fit Applications & Markets
Best-fit: Natural-style villas, cabins, mountain homes, American country and landscape roofs.
Export markets: Favored in American country and cabin styles and by buyers wanting a natural timber look.
AZ-coated Galvalume per ASTM A792 / AS 1397 / JIS G3321 / EN 10346. For export to the US and high-wind zones, stone-coated metal roofing typically targets UL 790 Class A fire, UL 2218 Class 4 impact and ICC-ES (AC438) acceptance; Nigeria requires SONCAP. Third-party test reports available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Wood Grain tile really look like timber?
Yes. The shake texture and shadow lines reproduce hand-split cedar closely from the ground, while the Galvalume steel base stays fireproof and never rots or warps.
Is the Wood Grain profile fire-safe compared with real wood shakes?
Yes. It is a steel tile with a stone-granule surface, so unlike real cedar shakes it does not burn - stone-coated metal typically targets UL 790 Class A fire performance for export.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Standard MOQ is one 20ft container (approx. 1,000-1,200 sq m). Mixed-profile containers are supported.
Do you export to Nigeria, Kenya, the Philippines and the Middle East?
Yes. We are an export-focused China manufacturer shipping to 50+ countries, with experience in local certification (e.g. SONCAP) and container logistics.
